Art Center Sarasota provides a stimulating
and inspiring way to encourage the young artists in our community.
Students will have fun learning about Art through drawing,
painting, collage, sculpture and much more!
Saturday afternoon classes are available during
the school year and from June until school starts there is
a Summer Camp for kids. Mondays - Fridays with a choice of
6 to 8 weeks. Instructors are professionals with enthusiasm
and fun ideas for ages 6 - 12. Cost is $150 for a week including
all art supplies.

Summer Camp at Historic Spanish Point, a fully
accredited museum, encourages campers to explore and experience
new and stimulating resources in our 30-acre preserve of lawns,
gardens, woods and water. We promote a non-competitive atmosphere
where campers can play and learn at their own interest level.
Enrich your childs life with opportunities to discover
archaeology with hands-on thousand year old artifacts and
cultural materials, enjoy sailing and rowing traditional watercraft
built at the museum, trying survival challenge, take nature
walks and participate in making puppets, sampling science
experiments, and fishing for fun.

Festivals provide a fun and friendly environment in which

Summer
Teen Studios: mid June through July. Kick up your imagination
with an exciting variety of classes. Explore your emerging
style in visual arts and design through drawing, painting,
illustration & design, color photography, sculpture, web
design, photoshop, and printmaking. Each one & two week
studio class is a unique session, so enroll in multiple weeks
of the same subject to build your skill.
PreCollege Perspective: mid June through
July. Students from the U.S. and abroad explore visual and
verbal vocabularies of art and design while learning contemporary
techniques in studio settings. Students live campus while
studying with Ringling School faculty in interdisciplinary
and collaborative curricula. Although geared for students
considering a career in the visual arts or design, PreCollege
is an excellent program for students eager to experience a
college environment with challenging course content. Students
age 16 -18 years. Earn college credits.
Community Art Program: Fall and Spring
semesters offer weekend studio classes to teens and young
masters. Teens explore and strengthen drawing, painting, and
3-D skills, and may take this opportunity to produce work
for their college portfolio. Youngsters 6-10 Discover Creativity
in a fun educational studio class that develops their visual
language through drawings, painting, and texture projects.
Various cultural content from art history is a baisi for projects.

Selby Gallery is the premier contemporary visual
art gallery for southwest Florida. Located on the campus of
the Ringling School of Art and Design, the gallery offers
free year-round changing exhibitions and programming the public.
Special tours and activities are conducted for elementary,
middle and high school age students through the public school
system as well as community youth groups such as the Boys
and Girls Club and Girls Inc. Fee-based classes are also offered
through the Ringling School Continuing Studies and Special
Programs department for middle and high school age students.
